Measuring Up Algebra 1

Help students to master the content before the test through rigorous and engaging lessons that can be utilized for whole-class instruction as well as end-of-course review and practice.
The program offers:
- A five-part lesson format that breaks down the standards while developing student understanding.
- B.E.S.T Algebra 1 item types throughout, including Edit Task Choice, Hot Text, Multiple Choice, Multiselect, GRID, Equation Editor (Fill in), and Matching/Table.
- End-of-Chapter mini tests.
- Two full-length Algebra 1 practice tests built to Florida’s test design and blueprint. Available through Measuring Up Live.
Each lesson begins with an overview of the BEST standards covered, highlighting the most critical concepts students need to master for success. This section helps set the stage by identifying the key ideas and vocabulary that will be emphasized throughout the lesson.
Guided Practice provides students with step-by-step problems and worked solutions designed to develop a deeper understanding of algebraic skills and concepts. This scaffolded approach supports students as they build proficiency and confidence.
Additional practice includes short-response questions that challenge students to apply their understanding and demonstrate their algebraic skills. These tasks encourage critical thinking and provide opportunities for students to communicate their reasoning.
Multiple-choice items, modeled after those on the B.E.S.T. Algebra 1 EOC assessment, are included to assess students’ understanding of the skills and concepts presented in the lesson. These items help gauge mastery and readiness for high-stakes testing.
