Measuring Up Civics

Ensure students are ready for the Florida Civic Literacy Exam (FCLE)!
Measuring Up Civics offers short and direct instruction and targeted lessons on all tested Florida Benchmarks. The program can be used as test preparation, for before- or after-school programs, or as an intervention—anytime your students need additional instruction or practice.
Measuring Up Civics offers:
- Academic vocabulary, highlighted and used in context.
- An emphasis on critical thinking to prepare students for the rigor of the FCLE.
- Two full-length FCLE practice tests built to Florida’s test design and blueprint are available through Measuring Up Live.
Measuring Up lessons provide instruction to understand the benchmarks with practice items. Each lesson includes a Did You Know? tip. These tips highlight an interesting event or fact related to the benchmark covered in the lesson. Benchmark-aligned content provides the information needed to develop a comprehensive understanding of the Florida Civics benchmarks.
Practice items align with the Florida Civics benchmarks and include Stimulus-Based Multiple-Choice Questions and Non-Stimulus-Based Multiple-Choice Questions
Each chapter in Measuring Up ends with a Chapter Review section. This section includes short constructed-response items that tie back to various benchmarks covered in the chapter and give you the opportunity to elevate your learning by using your critical-thinking skills. Each Chapter Review section also has additional multiple-choice questions that connect content across the chapter’s lessons.
