Welcome!

Welcome!

Welcome to Perfection Learning’s Next Step blog!

For over 90 years, we’ve been helping educators like you break down barriers to learning; create dynamic, inclusive classrooms; and generate long-term success for your students. We decided to launch this Next Step blog to share what we are learning with you—from insights from educational experts and learning science to innovative classroom practices.

We want this blog to make a difference. The classroom challenges you face are real and not easy to fix. And the disruption caused by the pandemic has created great stress on both teachers and students. Sustaining engagement, dealing with learning loss, helping students with a wide range of learning differences—the stakes have never been higher. Yet at the same time, we have great hope. Innovations in the classroom, technology tools, and insights into how students learn have never shown more promise. Our goal is to listen well and bring the best of what we know to you.

In the coming weeks and months, we will bring a wide range of topics to you, including:

  • A series of webinars and thought pieces with leading teachers and experts in Advanced Placement® designed to help you and your students successfully navigate the course and exam.
  • Demonstrations and investigations into new learning tools for language arts, social studies, math, and science.
  • Practical insights from learning science on topics such as retrieval, spaced practice, and designing appropriate difficulty to consolidate learning.
  • Teaching methodologies to help students read more deeply for meaning and engage in evidence-based discussions.
  • Expert recommendations for novels, nonfiction, and classroom libraries that meet the needs of a diverse student population.

Like any good venture, we will learn together as we go along. We encourage your feedback and invite you to subscribe. Thanks for spending a few minutes of your time with us.
