In today’s advanced math classrooms, rigor is accessed through multiple representations. Join this dynamic edWebinar designed for AP and Honors math teachers who want to help students see mathematics—not just compute it.
We explore how the four pillars of mathematical excellence—symbolic, graphical, numerical, and verbal reasoning—open multiple pathways for learning and engagement. Discover instructional strategies that reveal the story behind the math, empower diverse learners to think more deeply, and strengthen conceptual understanding.
Equip your students not only to master content, but to connect, communicate, and own their mathematical thinking as well as demonstrate that learning on their AP exams. This recorded edWebinar is of interest to high school and AP/Honors math teachers and curriculum coordinators, computer science and CTE educators, principals, and district leaders.

About the Presenter
Hooman Behzadpour has taught just outside of Newark, New Jersey, since 2012, when he joined Teach For America. In his 10+ years in the classroom, he found that destructive socio-economic forces can be overcome and that success can be found in any classroom. Hooman has experience working in a variety of courses, settings, and populations.
In addition to his work at a public Title 1 school serving students of underserved backgrounds, Hooman also has years of experience teaching at the university level, where he teaches a Calculus 2 course; in a private all-girls school, where he has virtually taught AP® Calculus BC; with middle school students as part of an enrichment program for students with a passion for math; with the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) as an AP Calculus Coach for both students and teachers; and with College Board®, as an AP Daily Instructor and as an AP Reader for both AP Calculus AB and BC.
Hooman has received many accolades for his work in the classroom, and recently transitioned to a coaching and consulting role, where he can work with educators in a variety of settings to increase the educational outcomes of their students. On a personal note, Hooman loves spending time with his wife and young daughters, as well as in various community-building projects and initiatives in his community.
